Next week is officially One-Shot Wonders Week over on StartPlaying! I told you I'd be back with an exciting announcement!
What is StartPlaying?
If you haven’t heard of the website before, StartPlaying connects game masters and players all around the world. It’s super easy to use: you pick a game you’d like to join, book a seat at the table, and then you jump into the adventure on a voice/video call.

From 29th September to 3rd October, GMs from across the world will be running tons of One-Shot Wonders adventures, giving you the chance to join a game no matter where you are.

ALL STRETCH GOALS UNLOCKED!!

Wow. We did it. We hit all of our stretch goals!!
We actually smashed through the £350,000 stretch goal live on the AMA stream last week (talk about timing). I'm a little late getting this update out because there’s been a ton going on behind the scenes in One-Shot Wonders world!
That means we’ve now hit ALL of our stretch goals. This is our highest-funded project ever, it's absolutely incredible. And we're still not done yet.
The Map Library Expansion Pack now has 40 maps, instead of 30. It's bursting at the seams! I can't wait to get commissioning, and Venatus Maps is raring and ready to go.
One-Shot Wonders at Ludoquist
Last night we hosted a One-Shot Wonders night at Ludoquist board game café in Croydon, London (UK). It was such a blast! Every GM ran sessions from Volume 1. I ran Lure of the Lamia, a mysterious desert investigation into bandit activity, and my table of adventurers absolutely nailed it. If you were there, thank you for joining us!
Thanks again for backing this campaign! We’re already deep into planning One-Shot Wonders: Volume 2, and putting pen to paper on some really memorable new adventures.

Hey everyone,
Well, that didn't last long! You've smashed through our £300,000 stretch goal, and there are now over 3,500 of you backing this project. Wow!
Stretch Goal Hit!
That means One-Shot Wonders: Volume 2 is getting a brand-new Rural chapter, packed with farm, field and meadow adventures. I can't wait to dive in and start writing. I'm thinking about an adventure with awakened pumpkins... but maybe I'm just looking forward to Halloween?
In Volume 1, some rural adventures were scattered in the Forest and Urban chapters – but with this stretch goal, we're going to dedicate a whole chapter to it! Forest now focuses on jungles, rainforests and woodlands; Rural covers farms, fields and meadows; Urban sharpens its focus on bustling towns and cities. This upgrade gives you richer, more distinct environments to play in.
Next Stretch Goal
Next up? Our FINAL stretch goal. If we hit it, we’ll add another 10 maps to the Map Library Expansion Pack, making it a massive 40 maps in total. We'll add a new map for every environment, and we'll also add some customisable terrain textures that will be perfect for making the most out of the static-cling stickers that come with the Expansion Pack. With these, you'll be able to build maps that's totally your own. This would be such an amazing upgrade, and we’d all love to make it happen.
We’ve absolutely blasted through six (pretty darn ambitious) stretch goals in just 7 days, can you believe it? Thank you so much for backing, supporting and shouting about this project. You’ve made this campaign unforgettable already.
